Is there anything better than an industry airing their dirty laundry in public? It is really no secret that the way you pose a question influences the answer - call it the Heisenberg Principle of Polling but this dispute is extra special.
...Compas dismissed reports that support for the Conservatives has taken a pounding during the Lebanon-Israel conflict.
"Canadians are not in an uproar against Harper and they don't repudiate his policies," Compas president Conrad Winn said yesterday. "The only thing we can say categorically is they repudiate Hezbollah."
Compas said its rival invited an anti-Harper response by asking about "Israeli actions" -- a term it decried as a hostile-sounding statement that swayed respondents.
I am not taking sides on this (but I am sure the first comment will mention that Allan Gregg was the pollster for the Progressive Conservatives, blah, blah, frickity blah) but I am having watching.
