It appears I have lost my last week of posts in the change over of servers. I will do what I can to fix that. In the meantime my last post was on I think the Green Party made a mistake in selecting Elizabeth May as their leader. To repeat, Nik Nanos of SES Research presented to them that they had high goodwill by most Canadians saw them as a single-issue party. So what did they do? Select a single-issue candidate - her first attempt to expand the envelope? Scrapping NAFTA. Mr. Nanos also presented that the Green Party was the second choice of Tories - those days are done. I would not be surprised if they drop a point in the polls and the CPC pick that point up.
And can someone (read a Green supporter) please explain to me if there is now a difference between an Elizabeth May lead Green Party and Jack Layton lead NDP.

Elizabeth May isn’t a big government socialist in the same way that Jack Layton is. She’s not committed to a universal social safety net idea as strongly as Layton is (though she still is to a lesser extent - let’s not kid ourselves) - her focus is primarily on the environment and its impact on health, on standard of living, etc. The environment is her primary focus and cure for society’s ills, where Jack Layton is more in the mould of someone who’d tax and spend in order to fix society’s ills, with the environment as more of a secondary concern.

Since I haven’t heard much reaction from adherents of the NDP aberration I suggest that the Green Party are also not shills for middle east terrorist groups, though they may be anti-Israel due to their impact on the Lebanese environment.

Say hello to back door proportional representation.
This is how the left intends to re-write the canadian political scene. Call yourself anything but the NDP’er you are.
A vote for the Green party is a vote for the NDP.
It won’t be long, before all the candidates in all canadian elections, will be NDP’ers in disguise.!!
Here are just a few examples of NDP’ers who call themselves something they are not……
Ken Dryden Buzz Hargrove Bob Rae Sheila Copps Heddy Fry Elizabeth May
All singing the same tune, capitalism..BAD… socialism..GOOD…
Anyone care to add a few more to this list..!

I am sure you have seen or heard it before - Green on the ‘outside’ - Red on the ‘inside.’

Hey, when it looked as though May was going to win (and was slinging mud every which way when Chernushenko raised valid points about her campaign finances), this non-partisan-Green-sympathizer not only went Tory, but became a card-carrying member of both the federal and Ontario parties and volunteered to help out in any way she can.
I want to see her crushed.
