(h/t HotAir) In watching all the fiver year retrospectives and the behind the scenes documentary provided with United 93 you can see that the US Government was completely unprepared for the events of 9/11. Considering al Qaeda was active against the US for almost a decade before hand the US should have been more prepared but unfortunately this was bi-partisan incompetence.

I don’t know that it was. Look at the outrage by the whiners over increased security now. Imagine their reaction to increased security prior to 9/11.
