(not) a necessary evil

As a MarkCh pointed out in my comments section yesterday Paul Summerville was misquoted in the National Post. Here is the actual quote.

“I think the leadership of the party needs to make a statement that the market economy is not a necessary evil,” he said in an interview. “The anti-market rhetoric makes it a place where I would not be comfortable.”

But as Gerry Nicholls points out Mr Summerville's trip isn't very far.
Summerville says he's moving to the Liberal Party to join another shocked socialist, Bob Rae.
