Indeed

I agree with the Calgary Grit on this one (actually on more than just on this one...but this is the one I am referencing). As I referenced this is one of those strange circumstances when political parties criss-cross positions further defying the left-right pigeon-holing. An aside I love when leaders make statements we are the party of Laurier and the party of Trudeau. Or we are the party of MacDonald and the party of Mulroney (or even worse the party of Manning and the party of Mulroney!) Which means we are the party of whatever we happen to believe at this moment in time. I am not sure why people say these kinds of things but they do.
Anyways, back to the CG.

...It's good that Ignatieff has people talking about these issues but what he's promising would be taking this country down a very dangerous road.

As more time passes the Gomery bounce that the BQ will fade. Even if the PQ wins the next provincial election (which is no sure thing) it is doubtful there will be another referendum and if they are stupid to have one it will be 1980 not 1995. But if we go down the road of Meech and Charlottetown will we recreate the whole mess that got us to 1995.
