Paul Wells links to Andrew Coyne's yesterday and predicts it will be very important at the Liberal forum today (in an hour to be precise). He is exactly where I am.
...I supported Meech Lake as a lad, Andrew Coyne (to whom the link links) didn't. But today? After all this country's been through — the drama, which everyone remembers (everyone who was here, at least) and the progress, which nobody dares acknowledge — I agree with Andrew.
Now I was barely old enough to vote in Meech days (and in fact was too young to vote in 1988) but Meech begat Charlottetown which begat the BQ and the slimmest of "No" side victory. Sleeping dogs and all that.
