What a couple of days

Well I'm back from putting way too many kilometres on the MiniVan. First up to Sudbury where I stumbled on a fundraising speech by John Tory. Honestly, it was a complete coincidence. Then off to Niagara Falls were I was completely out of the loop. Anyways I am back and I see the Liberal results (so far) obscure as much as they clarify.

Igantieff: 30.6%
Rae: 19.4%
Dion: 16.9%
Kennedy: 16.5%
And blah blah blah nobodies with nothing (in this race)

Igantieff is doind well but did he do well enough to dispell the no-growth meme. I don't think so. Two more interesting things to me, 1) Rae + Dion + Kennedy > 50% so these three could potentially block Ignatieff and 2) Rae is not very far in front of Dion and Kennedy are not very far behind him and could close the gap even further with ex-officio support. Bottom line (to me) Bob Rae does not look as strong as people were making it out to be and either Dion or Kennedy could mount a challenge from behind and still pull this off.

That’s only true if you believe that Rae doesn’t already have Volpe’s support wrapped up. Rae has already built a lot of bridges to the Kennedy camp as well.

Well, when your mind is numb from all this Liberal stuff, take a gander at a quickie parody that I did on Taliban Jack. Shamelessly plagerized sources.

Taliban Jack the traitor, well called Bro.

For wanting to negotiate with the Taliban he should be lined up against the wall and shot … along with all those other notorious traitors like “Gorby” Reagan … “Chairman Mao” (a.k.a. “North Vietnam”) Nixon … “Kim Jong” Truman … “Rebel” George III …

Meanwhile, in the real world,

Five years after their removal from power: The Taliban are back

Taliban Frontline now cuts half-way through Afghanistan

US and UK led failed counter-narcotics policies are responsible

Humanitarian crisis hits southern Afghanistan - extreme poverty, drought and hundreds of thousands starving in south

The Taliban have regained control over the southern half of Afghanistan and their frontline is advancing daily

Kennedy has 1% in Quebec. One. Percent. The Liberals cannot win with a candidate who got 1% in Quebec, and they know it. Kennedy is finished.
