Two, two, two pet peeves in one. Here is Michael Ignatieff, talking about himself in the third person (pet peeve No.1) saying "He's a Mike Pearson, Pierre Trudeau Liberal". Those are two different things and is pet peeve No.2

I have a friend who works for Iggy, and I went to meet Mr. Igg and this friend in his office back in May.
When I walked into his shitty confed building office, one thing that struck me was that he had giant portraits of Trudeau on every single wall in his office.
Can you say “complex”.

I went to a talk Ignatieff gave at Harbourfront a couple of years ago, talking about his book “Empire Lite”. He had also described himself then as a Mike Pearson liberal. So Ignatieff moved out of Canada in 1970 — were his thoughts on Canada cryogenically frozen, only to come back 35 years later as a political version of Austin Powers? Shag-a-delic, baby…
