So...

If you are the type of person who believes the CPC would leak a memo to help Michael Ignatieff become leader of the Liberals do you also believe that PM Harper threw Mr. Ignatieff a bone today?

“Throwing a bone” - No.

It does appear that the PM may be on autopilot these days. Whatever he feels like saying or doing (like the bizarre environment plan rollout this week), he says or does.

I don’t think there is anybody in his inner circle left who plays devil’s advocate anymore.

The Prime Minister of a nation should never play politics with religion, ethnicity, or language. It is dangerous and has no strategic benefit whatsoever.

Surely, PM Harper must know that by now.

NOTICE on CTV’s newsnet ticker and also Jane Taber sitting in for Mike Duffy tonight…They state that Prime Minister Harper accuses all Liberal leader candidates of being “anti-ISRAEI! That’s quite different than what Mr. Harper said…he actually used the term “anti-Israel” which is the State of Israel, not Israeli…which is against the people. You can see this story growing legs and turning into “Prime Minister Harper is accusing the entire Liberal Party of being anti-semetic”. CTV is irresponsible. Oh…but you knew that…

Ann:

I apologize…I believe my above post is incorrect. It seems Mr. Harper did say “Israeli”. Listen on the CTV site if you’re interested. Sorry… Ann

Greg:

I don’t believe the CPC would do anything to help anyone connected with the Liberal Party. They are all about mischief and manipulation.

Since Harper has now declared the CPC a pro-Israel party, should arab Canadians conclude that the CPC is anti-arab? Is there anyone in the CPC who is troubled by this kind of binary logic being applied to our politics?
