Wasn't actually supposed to be the new template but it looks like you like it. To help me to decide to keep it please let me know what you prefer about this one as opposed to the old one. I should let you know that I will be adding the links to the sidebar once things get up and running a little better and yes, I will be putting the ads back up (I have to pay for all this somehow). But other than that what do you like better? What would you like to see?

Much better! For some reason your page always ran a bit funny for me,
Not anymore!

This format is very easy to read. And the colours are easy on the eyes. I like it!!
Thanks

A word on the new template. This design is a modified version of a design that appeared in Movable Type’s Style Contest. As part of the conditions for entering the contest, the styles you submitted could be used by Movable Type, Typepad or LiveJournal users for their blogs. It requires the default templates of MT 3.3 in order to work without modification, but modification isn’t hard.
I said it was a modified style. The original style is called “Red Curves”. I changed it to “Blue Curves” using Photoshop to alter the banner and a search and replace on the HTML colour codes. I always thought Greg would prefer blue for his site than Red. I can add the advertisements back in without difficulty, though it will take a small amount of customization, but the clean look of the text will still be maintained.
Once this webhost fiasco is resolved, I will work on a new style based on this style called “Green Curves”. Green Bloggers are more than welcome to make use of it.
Any other colour requests?

Welcome back! I really like the new look.
If I could offer a little tweak - the text of your posts is just a bit too light - would you consider darkening the font color a smidge from #666 to #333?
i.e. .entry-content { margin: 0; color: #333; line-height: 1.7; }

Thanks Brian, once I get access to the stylesheet I will change it. BTW you were right I should have taken out BloggersHotstove.com and not STIMedia…maybe in the future. Oh well.

Greg,
I like the new template in general… however I’d do something a bit more with the title. It’s clearly supposed to be understated, but I’d state it a bit more. Otherwise, I can’t really put my finger on why I like it. Maybe because it’s unique.

The page loads about a billion times faster now too…. your site used to be exceedingly slow for me (almost as bad as AGWN).
Dunno if it’s the new provider, or the lighter template…
