Looks like I just got my old posts back and reclaimed the long loading time. I am endevouring to figure out what is causing that and hope to have it fixed shortly.
Update: Is the font colour better?
Update II: Here is how dumb I am - just to the right of this post you will find the "Archives and Links" um, link in the SITE NAVIGATION box. From now on I will update my links on that page and keep this front page clean. Hopefully this will make things load faster for all of you. And yes, James Bow has tried to tell me this (and to get me to change to this template before this week) but I am too much of a numbskull to figure out what he is talking about.

I find it usually gets hung up waiting for something from clarksbury.com to load.

That’s because the site is built using a Movable Type installation installed on Clarksbury.com (my web design website). Politicalstaples.com is actually a subdirectory of Clarksbury.com, with a domain name pointing directly to it.
The Clarksbury lag should change now that I’ve departed GoDaddy and returned to 1and1 (the full details of this story are up on my blog). Native MT search now works on Greg’s blog. It didn’t work at all on GoDaddy. These servers have far better CPU resources.
