Passionate Orator

I love it!

...Mr. Dion is said to want to employ Mr. Dryden, a onetime hockey legend and passionate orator, to stump the country talking about Liberal values.

The mind-numbingly dull Ken Dryden, now with passion, will be the stump-man for the Liberals. Great, I can hear, yet again, how he thinks that anyone who is not a statist is not Canadian. The great Liberal outreach begins.

BBS:

But don’t dare question a Liberal’s patriotism. That’s tantamount to treason in Liberal Canada. They’ve trademarked it just to ensure all real Canadians understand.

Gabby in QC:

That’s great. Dryden the passionate orator can then pepper his wonderful French speeches with gems like “sacrifice!” and other choice expressions he learned during his goalie days.

Greg:

Don’t underestimate Dryden. Look what happened to the Liberals when they underestimated Harper.

slg:

Well, when Harper starts to actually move his body parts and stop speaking like a kid learning to read and put his plastic smile on at the right moment - he may be half-inspiring.

And yes, he needs to learn how to dress.

On the At Issue panel Thursday night, Coyne quoted Paul Well’s description of Ken Dryden as someone who “speaks at a pitch that only Liberals can hear.”
