What I like about the link you provide is the insight into Tory thinking. It shows their “concern” about global warming is all about marketing. It isn’t a real problem except in that it might hurt the Tory’s electoral prospects. Do you wonder why people who do think it is a real problem might not trust your party’s “Saul on the road to Damascus” conversion?

Seems practical to me. Show me a weather scientist that can accurately predict next month’s weather and then I might start worrying about their doomsday predictions for 50 years hence. Since they can’t even accurately predict what the temperature will be 3 days from now they don’t seem to be the most trust worthy of prognosticators.

Since everyone who thinks Kyoto emission targets are actually achievable is shown, by that very fact, to be uninformed and responding primarily to marketing, then Kyoto per se (as opposed to global warming in general) really is a marketing issue.

Does anyone know of any country that has reached its Kyoto goal for emission or whatever reduction.Has any country paid up yet.?If we pay 10 billion to China for credits , will the smog lift in Toronto. Will we get snow earlier next year if we send them 20 billion. How do we prove, that the environment is improving or getting worse??I,ve gone fishing many times and not caught a fish, that doesnt mean there are no fish.Have you ever been called for your opinion on any poll.??Maybe their making up these polls. What do you think?
