I read your post and immediately thought “Wow, Greg sounds pretty confident in predicting a fall election.”
I keep forgetting that the Ontario election date is fixed.

It still looks like, at best, a McGuinty minority. There’s still lots of time for John Tory to turn this around

The Star’s Ian Urqhart talked about McGuinty being squeezed in both the by-elections and the general election in the fall.
I think these by-elections might also be a preview of what we’ll see at the federal level as well.
Once Jack and Steve get a deal done on the environment, people will wonder just why they have to go back to Dion and the Liberals for anything.
In fact, I think a profound shift might be in the making. It’s why Liberals are writing articles in the Toronto Star going crazy about Jack right now.

I see more of a three way race opening up and it can only benefit conservatives but they have to start offering unique choices for Ontarians if they want votes.
