I don't mean to kick a man

who just had a heart attack but this article begs the question, does Ujjal Dosanjh do anything other than trying to poach other parties MPs to the Liberals?

...A Liberal official confirmed Thursday that former B.C. NDP premier Ujjal Dosanjh was dispatched to find out if two high-profile West Coast female New Democrats, Dawn Black and Penny Priddy, would bolt to the official Opposition.
"Out here, there is a perception that Dawn Black and Penny Priddy may be unhappy with Jack Layton’s leadership," B.C. Liberal campaign director Mike Witherly said in an e-mail. "Mr. Dosanjh was asked to see if there was any truth to that perception."
Black, Priddy, and former Vancouver Island MP Lynn Hunter, who was also approached, ridiculed the suggestion they might be disgruntled Liberal wannabes.
"I think it speaks volumes about their inability to attract strong women," said Black, who said she immediately turned down the offer.

Hmmm, seems the fur isn't as comfy as it used to be.

Don’t be too sure about the comfiness of the Liberal fur. Read what Jack Layton had to say about Stephane Dion in Lawrence Martin’s Thu G&M column.

Dr. Strangelove:

Greg,

The man is recruiting. What’s wrong with that? I believe it would be a mistake to assume this floor or party-crossing trend may be a passing thing. Can’t tell really. And I don’t have a very high regard for Ujal (maybe it’s because they give him portfolio or critic responsibilities where he appears outside of his area of expertise - whatever that is). But I have no problem with this activity. I’m sure the good guys are always sniffing around for good hire too.

DCardno:

Dosanjh is a disaster on legs. I had the dubious priviledge of having him as my Premier for a brief (although not brief enough) time, and I don’t think there is a portfolio where he would not be outside his area of expertise.

Maybe you should start as that is what the left do all the time.

Maybe it was the response he got that gave him the heart attack.
