we have Andre Boisclair
...André Boisclair finds himself staring at headlines speculating about whether his Parti Québécois could suffer a historic electoral setback and slip to third place.
...A major poll released last night confirmed Mr. Boisclair's woes, with the Liberals leading at 36 per cent, followed by the PQ at 29 per cent and Mario Dumont's Action Démocratique du Québec closing in at 25 per cent.
The ADQ surge is significant enough that it raises the prospect of a minority Liberal government, pollster Jean-Marc Léger said.

Paul Wells seems to disagree somewhat.

He is not saying he is doing well. He is saying that Boisclair is not doing as poorly as we might think.

The ADQ numbers do not mean a heck of a lot outside of the Quebec City area. They cannot get their vote out elsewhere, and Dumont almost always fades at the end.
The PQ probably needs another 5% to be within minority territory.
Charest should be worried. Incumbent premiers who can barely break the mid-30s almost never win re-election. Ask Bernard, Lord of New Brunswick.
