If so, then I don’t think they would mind if all of those same teens were given a copy of The Great Global Warming Swindle as they both contain about the same amount of truth in them.

My reading of the press release is somewhat different.
The book will be handed out at the School Board, not by the Board.
The actual distribution will be done by a private courier and a non-profit.
Therefore, no taxpayer funds are being used.

You guys are nut jobs. Even if global warming isn’t true, who the hell do you think you are to condemn thousands of children with asthma to a life in door’s due to extreme air pollution? Do you think it’s natural to have smog? This is a stupid debate, whether or not you believe in human assisted global warming, you must admit our pollution as humans is bad for the earth.

Are the kids with asthma better off if their parents are unemployed, too poor to avoid medicine or vacations away from the city during the heat of the summer and unable to afford “smart” electricity for indoor ventilation and air conditioning - while goverment types are tooling around in Airbuses and limousines going to conferences boasting about how they saved everyone?
And how ‘bout those large, polluted megalopolises - why would anyone voluntarily move there? Easy - (1) for the welfare, (2) for juicy jobs in the government and in government protected and subsidized industries (in other words more welfare). Free people and free enterprise would not congregate in such extreme conditions, they would disperse for better lifestyle and cheaper costs for housing, transportation, recreation, etc. Governments like to herd people together - easier to control and easier to rob.
Commie central planning never works. The countries whose politicians are the most obsessed with “improving” people’s lives with government intervention always end up more impoverished and polluted compared to freer countries.

Matt Cassell, Kyoto deals almost entirely with CO2, not the chemicals that create smog. If Kyoto dealt with the worst toxins in the air, greenhouse gases, especially CO2 would hardly be mentioned. Then I might actually support it. As Kyoto currently stands, it uses questionable science to transfer money around the world. With no concern for the pollutants that do cause severe breathing problems, or peoples quality of life.

Matt, Sorry to break this to you, but in the movie, the Inconvient Truth, it talks about global warming due to CO2 and not air pollution.
CO2 is a naturally occurring gas and it does not cause smog, asthma or air polution.
Before you start calling people “nutjobs”, I would sugguest that you do some research.

It should be criminal how the irrational fuss about global warming and CO2 has diverted the attention of environmental efforts away from legitimate concerns like air and water pollution. Sycophants like Matt jump on bandwagons in total ignorance of the facts, while believing hook, line, and sinker in the propoganda championed by patsies like Al Gore and hollywood celebrities.
These facts are undisputable: 1- CO2 is necessary for life to exist on earth.
2- Of all the “greenhouse gases” blamed for the problem, CO2 is among the least significant. Why aren’t nitrogen, or worse still, H2O vapor being targeted by the wagon band? 3- The overwhelming impact of solar activity and it’s tremendous influence on the earth’s climate far exceeds any measurable effect of ANY greenhouse gases. It is like the elephant in the room that no environut seems to notice while complaining how the ants are eating all the peanuts.
And don’t kid yourself that Al Gore and sundry actors are behind the farce. They are just the useful idiots that hope for some personal glory in being seen to support a cause celebre. The real brains behind the whole scam are interested in money, not the environment. Follow the money to recognize who will benefit most from climate hysteria. They are using their positions as esteemed and honourable members of the U.N. to manipulate committees and promote official U.N. positions and resolutions whose hidden purpose is to siphon wealth from the United States and other wealthy nations, to countries with no concern for environmental issues or human rights. Can you say Kyoto credits?
And who are the lemmings most likely to fall for this scam? Matt and people like him who formerly protested against the real problem of industrial toxins, smog, and other air pollutants. oops, maybe I shouldn’t include Matt in that group; he thinks smog is caused by CO2.
