There is no doubt

that Don Martin is getting ahead of himself,

...About the only name being floated as a Duceppe replacement is finance critic Pierre Paquette, described by those who know the economist as a less-charismatic version of the economist Prime Minister.
With the party in inexperienced hands and separatism in hibernation, the natural beneficiary of tumbling Blocs would be the Conservatives.
Of the Bloc's 45 seats in 2006, the Conservatives were runner-up with 36.
With Mr. Harper's Quebec-appeasement policies the Conservatives easily could find a dozen or more seats in the Bloc Quebecois rubble.
A made-in-Quebec majority government for Stephen Harper is not entirely out of the question.

Especially when he is bound to lose seats in Saskatchewan and the East Coast.

Fergy:

Your google ads on the right side of your page tell me to vote green. Just thought you should know.

Hey Greg,

Don’t be too much enthusiastic! Harper’s environmental plan is hurting you in Quebec lalety. In the meantime, Layton has recruited a solid candidate for the next election in Quebec with Thomas Mulcair. The guy is well seen ovehere for his pro-environmental positions. He will definitely drag some votes to NDP.

One thing is sure at least: The Liberals are still swimming in a swamp.
