Fire in the hole

Is the Liberal party one, long civil war? Sometimes they can contain it and sometimes it blows out into the open.

...A number of senior figures in the Liberal Party say Kennedy supporters are doing their best to ensure the nomination process works to his advantage, with a view to his becoming leader when Mr. Dion steps down -- a charge Mr. Kennedy denies.

Sometimes it seems that way.
...Ignatieff and other former top leadership contenders were incensed by Carroll's admission in a new book, "Against the Current,'' that he feared one or more of the erstwhile rivals were plotting against Dion.
"What they do in public doesn't bother me. It's the shit they do behind the scenes _ which I may not know they're doing _ that keeps me up at night,'' Carroll is quoted as saying.

Calgary Junkie:

Looks like the LPC is trapped in a never-ending, repeating story of “replace the leader”. Kind of like in the movie “Groundhog Day”.

Too bad for the LPC that the delegates at their December convention voted against the one-member-one-vote method of selecting leaders. Hence, Kennedy, who recently quit (or got fired?, as Mr. Election Readiness) , with nothing else to do, is right to go around “securing” riding associations for the next leadership race.

For Iggy, Rae, et al, this has got to be eerily reminiscent of what (did he quit or get fired as Finance Minister) Paul Martin did to Chretien. Meanwhile, Iggy gets up every day, prepares his questions for QP, looking busy, accomplishing little.

Go Kennedy Go !

Hey Greg,

Drop me a line at greg - at - mediablitz.ca. I want to chat about something, but I can’t seem to find any contact information,

Thanks!

We’re so busy fighting that we keep forgetting our names!

Lynne:

Can you image how stupidely obsessed people are with the Liberal Party inside stuff? What have we come to if that’s all journalists, etc. have to write about.

Like - who cares?

It’s probably exaggerated tidbits and means nothing.
