Wake me up

when September ends. Because the latest polling numbers won't really reflect much until we get closer to an election. Whether that is this fall, next spring and fall 2009 is anybodies guess but we are in the "new normal" as long as we are in the phoney war.

Conservatives: 34%
Liberals: 31%
New Democrats: 16%
Bloc Quebecois: 10%
Greens: 9%

And can someone give me a "ya think?"

...While Green support is at an historical high, Mr. Bricker suspects that it could only bank on about half that support in an election. "A big chunk of the people supporting Green right now are ... people who want to vote in an election but don't care for any of the other choices," he said. "What you probably have there are a lot of non-voters, a lot of disaffected voters.
"When you see what shows up at the ballot box it won't be much higher than what you saw last time, about 5% or 1% or 2% more at tops," he said.

Give these super-duper new ads time to work. By Labour Day, Harper will be polling at 74% nationwide, not just in Alberta.

Here is the latest from Leger:

Dion Can Use More Support 2007-06-04 06:20:11

Liberal leader Stephane Dion continues to see his popularity plummet in Quebec. A new Leger marketing poll reveals he’s the fourth most popular leader in this province. When asked who would make the best prime minister, only 12 per cent of Quebecers said Dion, whereas 16 per cent said NDP leader Jack Layton and Bloc leader Gilles Duceppe. Prime Minister Stephen Harper was way ahead with 36 per cent. Across the country however, Dion’s in second place tied with Layton at 13 per cent support. Harper’s still well in the lead nationally at 34 per cent. If an election were held today, the poll suggests 37 per cent of Canadians would vote Conservative, 30 per cent would vote Liberal and 14 per cent would vote NDP.

Since you asked: ya think?

Jason Bo Green:

“Ya think?”

I can’t say it better than that, you are right.

I still may end up voting Green - in the end, despite how I feel about Harper, May, et al, it will really come down to the local riding candidates. So we will see.

So, I’ve been reading your blogging for the better part of 25 minutes, and I haven’t learned anything. It seems to me all you do is find stuff in the paper and copy it into your blog. That is not fresh. That is not sexy. That is not….with it. Not now. Not today. Not happening.

Tell me something exciting! Get enthused!
