I've signed up on the pro-MMP and anti-MMP mailing lists to get as much information as I can before I make my decision on the Ontario referendum. The first of the mass emails arrived in my inbox this morning - the NoMMP crowd are first out of the gate. There are a couple of events upcoming in Ottawa so should you be in the Ottawa area and should you care here are the details.
2007 Sep. 11th, 7:30 PM - John Townsend will be addressing the referendum question that will be part of the Ontario election in October, 2007. Mixed Member Proportional (MMP) representation will be discussed.2007 Sept. 24th, (to be determined)- The Glebe Community Association is planning for an all-cendidates meeting which would be preceded by a debate between speakers advocating the two choices in the October 10 referendum.
