Conservatives: 33.6%
Liberals: 26.9%
New Democrats: 21.7%
Greens: 10.1%
Bloc Quebecois: 7.1%
...“The numbers are definitely polling the Conservatives’ way, outside of the Atlantic provinces,” says pollster Allen Reid. “If trends continue, they stand a good chance of increasing their seat totals, although they are nowhere near majority territory.” Reid cautions, however, that the high number of undecided votes could lead to surprises on election night. “Forty percent of respondents have not decided. They could stay at home, or they could make their decision at the ballot box. If they all track one way, it could render all of our best polls completely obsolete.”Link.

Summertime political polls. Is there a more useless waste of resources?

I wish this was what SES had found. Oh well, it is nice to look at. About the only thing I believe from this poll is the notion that neither of the big parties are on track for a majority.

Jeff Davidson. There is a link in the bottom left hand corner. Once you get in you’re in a site called Canada Votes 2008, with a date line of 24th August 2008.
As Ben the Tiger says, it’s a fantasy poll.

Between them, the Libs/NDP/Greens have roughly 58% of the electorate !
Now, if only a political Messiah can be found to unite those three Left parties! Will it be Layton, Dion, or May?!

I think after tomorrow’s election, it’s entirely likely that the Greens and NDP (and maybe even the Liberals) will walk away wishing they put more effort into bringing Canada a MMP style election. The Greens may reduce the NDP seats to only a handful, even though the NDP is polling well at 1/5 voters.

Well the Rhino’s won any way, but the mock campaign did highlight the deepening dissolutionment with politics in general.
Could something this dramatic or only partially dramatic really happen, if enough people saw an outlet for the exaspiration ?
