Correcting a misspent youth

(well not so dramatic as that but you have to name your posts something)
We are reaching back into the archives of my mind - all the way back to 1982. I was in grade 6 and we were supposed to some sort of reading/book report project on a series of books. I chose to do my project on the Isis Trilogy by Monica Hughes. Problem is I never actually finished the series. Typical of my stellar academic habits I read every third chapter of the last book and a half, on the bus, the day the project was due, to get the basic feel of the plot line so I could fake my report. I did call it misspent youth.
Now I can't go back to fix this but I can finish the books. With that being said, I am 3/4 of the way through Keeper of the Isis Light and I am happy to report that it is excellent. It is certainly written for the juvenile fiction audience but it well written and I am very much enjoying make up for lost time. (and my Grandmother will be happy that I'm readin fiction again)

I love this post! I know what you mean. That sounds a bit like my misspent youth as well.

It isn’t just one’s youth that’s like that, sometimes…
