As of 9:15 looks like the Liberals are doing better than expected in Outremont (42.8% to 36.8%), the Bloc Quebecois is pretty safe in Saint-Hyacinthe--Bagot (44.3% to 34.1%) and the Conservatives are doing very well in Roberval--Lac-Saint-Jean (55.7% to 30.9%), and 80/194 polls reporting this one looks to be in the win column for the Conservatives.
But is is early, really early.
Update: 9:25
The NDP are rocking Outremont (51.2% to 26.7%) with 8/168 polls reporting. Again, still early, but disaster/debacle doesn't even capture it.
Saint-Hyacinthe--Bagot looks like it will remain with the BQ (45.8% to 33.2%) with 15/224 polls reporting.
It should also be pointed out that the Liberals are under 10% in Saint-Hyacinthe-Bagot and Roberval-Lac Saint Jean.
During the Liberal leadership I figured that Stephane Dion would be selected as the "native son" and the one most likely to gain the Liberals seats in Quebec. With losses in Ontario due to the end of vote splitting it was (is) critical for the Liberals to make gains in Quebec but instead of making gains they are losing ground and are now a the party of (mostly) Toronto, Montreal and Vancouver and the NDP are starting to take some of this turf away as well. The Big Red Machine isn't firing an all engines these days,
Update II:
With 30/168 polls reporting in Outremont it is looing pretty safe to call an NDP victory. And it is pretty clear why, with only 7.7% of the vote for the Bloc Quebecois it appears the BQ vote has moved en masse to the NDP if just to secure a Liberal defeat.

If you are Stephen Harper, this night belongs to you.
Not only did he just bend over the Bloc in Roberal and spank them, he rolled into Saint H-Bagot riding and came within several hundred votes of winning.
Secondly, the Liberals, under Dion, couldn’t crack 30% in a riding that they’ve only lost once in 70 years, and couldn’t muster a measly 10% in francophone ridings. Isn’t Dion from Quebec? Didn’t he throw everything INCLUDING the kitchen sink at Outremont? The Liberals must be scratching their heads going “what the F*?
Seriously, Afghanistan…the environment… weren’t these issues supposed to drive Quebecers to throw out the Conservatives??? Apparently it drove voters to mark X next to the CPC ballot

Very good night for the Conservatives. The Liberals and Bloc imploded and don’t discount those horrific numbers for the Greens too. I doubt we will see any more 10% figures for them any time soon, they can start trying to shoot for 2%.
