The more impressive numbers in the poll were the ones that show the the public believes Canada is on the right track. That’s the type of sentiment that does not defeat governments.

I don’t care about the polls - I don’t want another election just yet.
In my area we’ve gone from a Federal election to a Municipal election to a Provincial election - electioned out extremely.
(I live in rural Ontario).
Need a break from it

Not all of the 40% would vote CPC; some of them are just saying they would to scare Dion into not forcing a needless election to return another CPC minority.
