And the tease continues

I read in one media report (I can't remember which one so sorry no link) that one of the tax cuts the government is considering for the economic statement this afternoon is income-splitting. I now think they just float this every couple of months to tease income-splitting supports. I've seen this floated enough times now that I am in a put up or shut up frame of mind.

Greg:

I have my doubts. It is very expensive and the Tories are looking for “across the board” cuts so as to “broaden the base”. Besides if they do that, someone might ask where all of the daycare spaces they promised had gotten to and the definitely don’t want to go there.

Greg:

I heard one of the CBC reporters last night hint (nudge, nudge, say no more), that income splitting may be, possibly, ready to go in the “real budget” in February. Are you starting to feel like a mule with a carrot dangling just out of reach?
